Flood damages to increase 200% in Europe, scientists say

Europe will see a 200 percent increase in flood damages by the end of the century as a consequence of climate change, scientists from the European Commission's Joint research centre have warned. Northern and Eastern Europe will be the most exposed to an increase in annual rainfall.
