Lenita Toivakka, the Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Finland, joins Lénaïc Vaudin d’Imécourt on viEUws to discuss Finland’s position on the situation in Ukraine.

The Ukraine crisis remains remains a focal point of the Finnish Minister’s agenda: “if the ceasefire isn’t working, then maybe we do need more sanctions”. Toivakka argues that the EU must remain united in its response to the Ukraine crisis. Member States should continue to engage with Russia via diplomatic channels but not shy away from imposing further sanctions if needed.
