Russia faces more sanctions if ceasefire not implemented, Merkel warns

German chancellor Angela Merkel i Wednesday warned Russia to fully implement a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine or face more sanctions. "One thing is absolutely clear, if the Minsk ceasefire accord does not work then member states and the European Commission are quite prepared to move to new sanctions," she said.
