First Horizon 2020 Results Published for FET Open
The evaluation results of the first H2020 FET Open call cut-off (deadline 30th September 2014) are out. They were announced last week via the Research Participant Portal.
Out of the 643 proposals submitted to the Research and Innovation Actions (RIA), 24 projects have been selected to enter the Grant Agreement preparation phase. The Coordination and Support Action (CSA) will have four projects entering the next phase, out of 32 proposals submitted.
All Grant Agreements are expected to be signed by the end of May 2015.
FET Open supports early-stage research on any idea for a new technology. There are no pre-defined themes. It encourages scientists and engineers from multiple disciplines to work together on game-changing science and technology research, expanding well beyond the traditional technological disciplines. It also encourages proposals with new and promising ideas from new, high-potential actors in research and innovation who may become the scientific and industrial leaders of the future. Overall, FET Open will receive 40% of the total FET budget in Horizon 2020.
The next cut-off for submitting proposals to both the RIA and CSA actions is 30th March 2015
