Slovak rights and marriage referendum fails

Saturday's referendumon marriage and gay rights in Slovakia was not legitimate as the turnout was only 21.4 percent, well below the 50 percent threshold required. Ninety percent of those voting supported a conservative stance on the questions, including definition of marriage, adoption by gay couples and sex education.
