Tsipras commemorates war dead in first act as PM

In a highly symbolic move, Alexis Tsipras Monday laid flowers at the National Resistance Memorial as his first act as Greek PM. The memorial is for communist national resistance fighters who were executed by the Germans on 1 May 1944. Germany is seen as the chief architect of eurozone austerity.
