Foreign Affairs MEPs discuss Ukraine following Mariupol attack

The Foreign Affairs Committee will discuss the situation in Ukraine with the Ukrainian Ambassador to the EU, Kostiantyn Yelisieiev, and representatives of the European External Action Service (EEAS) on Monday at 16.00. This follows the dramatic escalation of violence in the Donbas region in recent days, including the shelling of Mariupol on Saturday, which left more than 30 civilians dead.

Following Saturday's attacks, the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini i, has called for an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council to discuss Ukraine on 29 January.
