Merkel says Greece should stick to commitments

German chancellor Angela Merkel i's spokesperson on Monday said the new Greek government "should take action to foster Greece's continued economic recovery, which means previously agreed commitments are respected." Steffen Seibert said the German government "obviously offers its cooperation to the new government", with anti-austerity party Syriza having won Sunday's elections.
