Moscovici in favour of 'EU option' to replace troikas

EU economics commissioner Pierre Moscovici i Monday said the troika of international lenders (International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank and European Commission) overseeing the implementation of bailouts in Greece and Cyprus "should be replaced with a more democratically legitimate and more accountable structure based around European institutions with enhanced parliamentary control."
