Mikhail Khodorkovsky asks MEPs to back Russia’s opposition

Russian businessman, ex-prisoner of conscience and founder of the civil society organization “Open Russia” Mikhail Khodorkovsky will address Foreign Affairs MEPs today at 15.00. MEPs will ask questions on issues of human rights, civil society and democracy in Russia.

The meeting is held in association with the Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.

Mr Khodorkovsky last visited the European Parliament in April 2014, when he met European Parliament President Martin Schulz i.
