At the College meeting on Tuesday 25 November in Strasbourg, President Juncker i and the Commissioners approved an initiative to reinforce transparency within the European Commission and in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations with the United States. This followed last week's College debate on transparency.

The Transparency Initiative which is an important part of President Juncker's Political Guidelines consists of two Commission Decisions, which were adopted today following an initial orientation debate among the College of Commissioners last week. The Decisions adopted today confirm the type of information which the Commission must publish on meetings with interest representatives.

Also on the College agenda was President Juncker's Investment Plan for Europe and the Commission' overall assessment of the draft budgetary plans for 2015 of Member States in the euro area. President Juncker will present his Investment Plan tomorrow in the European Parliament’s Plenary session, jointly with Vice-President Katainen i and in the presence of the European Investment Bank President Hoyer.

During the meeting, Vice-President Georgieva also presented the state of play and next steps on the EU budget and High Representative and Vice-President Federica Mogherini i briefed the College on the latest developments in Ukraine.
