Nato has deployed jets 400 times in 2014 to face off increased Russian air activity around Europe, reports Reuters. Nato secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg described the Russian presence as "risky and unjustified", noting that in half the cases, the approaching Russian planes have turned off transponders and did not communicate.
