Catalan leader faces legal action over referendum

Spain's top prosecutors are threatening legal action against Catalan leader Artur Mas for having held a non-binding referendum on independence earlier this month, reports El Pais. Spain's attorney general’s office on Wednesday said it would "launch the opportune legal actions before the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia."
