Athens under pressure to exit bailout ahead of elections

Greek finance minister Gikas Hardouvelis said Tuesday that Greece will exit the current EU/IMF bailout ahead of schedule, according to media reports. The coalition government is under pressure ahead of February's presidential vote, which could trigger general elections and bring the leftist Syriza party to power.
