Spanish MPs to vote on Palestine recognition next week

The Spanish parliament will next Tuesday (18 November) vote on a non-binding motion calling on Madrid to recognise Palestinian statehood, a Spanish diplomat told EUobserver. The move comes after similar votes in Ireland and the UK and amid plans for a vote in France. Nine EU states already recognise Palestine.
