HRVP Mogherini talks to US Secretary of State Kerry on her first day in office

Today, on her first day in office, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini i, held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State, John Kerry i.

HRVP Mogherini and SOS Kerry discussed the most serious crises around the world - from the conflict in the Middle East, to the situation in Libya and Ukraine. They also exchanged views on how to tackle Ebola outbreak. HRVP Mogherini and SOS Kerry reaffirmed the strong relations between the EU and the US and the will for even wider cooperation. Mrs Mogherini and Mr Kerry agreed to meet in the near future.
