Russia seeks EU-Ukraine gas payment contract

Russia has said if the EU and Ukraine sign a binding deal on how to pay for winter gas, then Russia will sign guarantees on supplies. “Once there’s money, there’s gas,” Russian energy minister Novak said, amid ongoing talks in Brussels. An EU spokeswoman said a deal is "very close".
