EU court says Tamil sanctions were based on hearsay

The EU court in Luxembourg has annulled the 2006 listing of the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka as a terrorist entity, but maintained the EU's freeze on the group's funds for now. It said EU countries based their accusations on "factual imputations derived from the press and the Internet".
