All European Youth Agencies in Rome

From 15 to 17 October

The Business Meeting of National Agencies for the Youth field of Erasmus+ takes place from 15 to 17 October in Rome. The event is organised by the country holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and aims at reviewing the performance and management of Erasmus+ Programme and defining a common strategy for the future.

“Agencies - states Giacomo D’Arrigo, Director-General of the Italian National Agency for the Young People - will discuss active citizenship of young people, cooperation between European national agencies, the enhancement of the Youth field within Erasmus+ Programme and, most of all, how it can implement youth policies and what it can do to support such policies locally in order to enhance and recognise the active role of younger generations.”

The meeting forms part of a series of the initiatives, which are organised by the Agency during the six-month Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and aim at empowering young people to favour their integration, strengthen their rights, remove the obstacles that cause marginalisation and social exclusion, and offer opportunities to acquire knowledge, competences, skills, as provided for by the EU Work Plan for Youth for the period 2014-2015, adopted by the Council in May 2014.
