Eight EU countries fined for producing too much milk

The European Commission announced on Friday that Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Poland will be fined in total €409 million for exceeding their milk quotas in the period 2013/2014. The milk quota system will be abolished on 1 April 2015.
