Poland's to-be EU single market commissioner, Bienkowska i, told MEPs Thursday she will put the welfare of patients before business after her boss, Juncker, gave her part-control of the commission's health and pharmaceuticals watchdogs. NGOs say her department is lobbyist-friendly. But she said: "Make no mistake: Health and safety come first".
