'No commissioners will have a veto'

None of the commissioners will have veto power in the new European Commission, the incoming employment commissioner Marianne Thyssen told the European Parliament in a hearing on Wednesday. "We will be working as a team", she said, referring to the new two-tier system, which includes seven powerful vice-presidents.
