EU in fishing row with Philippines and Papua New Guinea

The EU on Tuesday said the Philippines and Papua New Guinea face import bans if they do improve efforts against illegal fishing. Both have six months to put in place safeguards in order to avoid the bans. "We cannot ignore illegal fishing activities in this region," said the European Commission.
