An EU election cartoon produced by the Danish Parliament has raised eyebrows as it despicts sexual acts and its superhero, Voteman, uses violence to bring young voters to the polling station. Parliament chairman Mogens Lykketoft said: "You have to take it a bit relaxed and humorous".

Following a social media storm, the Danish parliament on Tuesday withdrew the controversial 90-second video using sex and violence to encourage young people to vote in May's EU elections. "The parliament as an institution shall show greater care about what we put our name to", parliament chairman Mogens Lykketoft said.
