Turkish opposition demands local election recount

Thousands of demonstrators in Ankara Tuesday demanded a recount of local election results after voters backed PM Erdogan's ruling party, reports The Guardian. Police fired water cannons to disperse the crowds. Official elections results have yet to published, although media reports say Erdogan's AKP got 44% in the Sunday vote.
