Schulz congratulates Andrej Kiska on his election as President of the Slovak Republic

The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz i made the following statement on the election of the new President of the Slovak Republic:
"On behalf of the European Parliament, I would like congratulate Andrej Kiska on his election as the new President of Slovakia. I wish him all the best for his mandate.
I am glad that the new President has showed a strong pro European commitment. I am looking forward to working with him in the next months.
I also wish to thank the outgoing President Ivan Gasparovic, who successfully led Slovakia in the European Union and into the euro zone".
