EU dreigt met inbreukprocedure tegen Ruslands gaspijpleiding South Stream (en)

The European Commission said Thursday it will launch "infringement proceedings" against EU countries in Russia's South Stream pipeline scheme if they implement intergovernmental agreements. It said the accords violate laws on energy "unbundling" and on "third-party access," by giving Gazprom the exclusive right to extract, pump and distribute the gas.
