In the field of youth, ministers adopted conclusions on enhancing the social inclusion of young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs). These include proposals to enhance the social inclusion of NEETs in the fields of prevention of becoming a NEETs, education, training, out-of-school activities, transition and employment. The conclusions thereby emphasise the role that youth work can play in helping to ensure the inclusion of young people and to improve their employability. Member States and the Commission were invited to establish and implement strategies in the areas of education, training, non-formal learning and employment.
