The OpenChina Final Conference will take place at the Radisson BLU Hotel Lietuva on November 5, 2013 in Vilnius, i.e. the day before the launch of the European Commission’s ICT 2013 Event, Europe’s most visible forum for ICT research and innovation.
The objective of this Final Conference is to bring together policy and research stakeholders from Europe and China, to present the project final results, assess new alternative or novel ways to promote scientific cooperation in ICT between the two regions and provide recommendations towards more effective funding and more fruitful cooperation programs.
An audience of 150 participants is targeted, comprising stakeholders from Europe and China, involved or interested in strengthened cooperation between the two regions:
-
-Policy makers from Europe and China (DG CONNECT i, MOST, MIIT)
-
-Representatives of other EU-funded projects or main initiatives
-
-Experts specialized in EU-China research collaboration
-
-Researchers in the ICT field from universities, research institutes and industrial companies
The OpenChina-ICT project, supported by the European Commission (DG CONNECT) through its FP7 research-funding programme, aims at significantly contributing to the facilitation of ICT related research cooperation between Europe and China.
During the period 2012-2013, the OpenChina-ICT project has analysed the ICT research environment in Europe and China and identified the current and emerging research priority topics and the main research actors in both regions. Achieving this overall objective has been supported through the completion of the different project activities, in particular the outputs of a Dialogue Conference, two Thematic Workshops organized by OpenChina-ICT and on an in-depth survey of researchers carried out in both regions.
Registration to the OpenChina-ICT Final Conference is free of charge but compulsory (due to room restrictions). To access the event programme and to register, please visit the event webpage.
