A network of European organizations aiming to promote language learning
The main aim of the project is to share the results of the 2011 European Language Label Award winning and expand on its main product the Virtual Documentation Centre by collecting and sharing best practices in language learning across Europe. YELL2 promotes the improvement of language learning and encourages creative teaching to inspire and motivate language learning.
Young European Love Languages 2 (YELL2) is a Key Activity 2 Languages Accompanying Measure Project, co-financed within the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme. The YELL2 team consists of three partners from Germany, UK and Turkey.
Sign up to the YELL Network and receive regular updates and information about innovations in the teaching and learning of languages. You can also access the wealth of resources hosted in the Virtual Documentation Centre.
The YELL2 Network also offers educators the opportunity to share their own best practices with the wider community. Once the online questionnaire is filled in, your work can be included in the Virtual Documentation Centre.
Each month a Best Practice example will be selected and featured in the YELL2 e-bulletin, reaching a wide European audience.
A major outcome of the project is the international conference hosted in Birmingham, UK from the 2nd to the 5th of October 2013. The conference will bring together educators, trainers and policy-makers to influence the future of language education. In addition to a variety of eminent speakers, the conference will feature examples of Best Practice from the project and a European project fair.
If you are a language teacher or a project coordinator and want to take advantage of this exceptional event, you can contact the YELL2 Team at info@yell2-project.eu for immediate attention and guidance.
