The G20 Summit took place in Saint Petersburg. ‘We came to the G20 as the EU with confidence‘, shares Ms Hansen. The EU has successfully acquired commitments from global partners on various issues, including an extension on the Standstill clause preventing hostile company takeovers and automatic exchange of information on taxation. This time the European Union is ‘seeing signs of recovery and we must keep up the efforts’, said the EC spokesperson.
