Italy's PM Letta Wednesday agreed to abolish an unpopular property tax in a deal to mend relations with Silvio Berlusconi i, his partner in a fragile coalition government. Brussels voiced immediate concerns, with economic commissioner Olli Rehn i calling for "compensatory measures" to keep public finances in line with Italy’s EU commitments.
