Statement by EU High Representative Catherine Ashton i following today's meeting in the framework of the EU-facilitated dialogue

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the Commission, issued the following statement today:

"I met Prime Minister Dacic and Prime Minister Thagi in Brussels today to discuss the way forward in the implementation of the April Agreement on the dialogue for normalisation of relations between both sides.

The two Prime Ministers discussed the preparation of municipal elections scheduled for 3 November. They agreed that all concrete actions should be undertaken to make sure the elections take place with good turnout.

Work on implementation will continue in the coming weeks with the same intensity so that we maintain the good momentum achieved so far."
