EU neemt eind juli besluit over IJslandse vissers (en)

The EU is to decide by end July whether to impose sanctions on Iceland in a row over mackerel quotas, the EU fisheries commissioner said Monday. Iceland increased its mackerel catches after the 2008-9 financial crisis. The sanctions could see Icelandic and Faroese fishermen banned from landing catches at EU ports.
