EU-directeuren-generaal bespreken in Vilnius agenda Litouws voorzitterschap en interinstitutionele samenwerking (en)

Met dank overgenomen van Litouws voorzitterschap Europese Unie 2e helft 2013 i, gepubliceerd op dinsdag 9 juli 2013.

EU Directors General of the Foreign Ministries of the EU Member States and candidate countries will meet in Vilnius on 11-12 July. The meeting will focus on priorities of Lithuanian EU presidency agenda and inter-institutional cooperation.

Lithuanian MFA EU Director Tomas Gulbinas will chair the meeting.

EU Directors General meeting is a traditional event organized by the member state, holding the EU presidency. During this traditional meeting participants discuss EU agenda for the forthcoming 6 months, other important EU issues. Representatives of the President of the European Council, the European Commission and the Council General Secretariat, as well as EU Directors General from candidate countries take part in the meetings.

EU presidency organizes EU Director General meeting once during its 6 months presidency.
