Statement by EU High Representative Catherine Ashton i following the latest meeting in the framework of the EU-

facilitated dialogue

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the Commission issued the following statement today:

"I met Prime Minister Dacic and Prime Minister Thagifor the 13th time in the framework of the dialogue for normalisation of relations between both sides in Brussels today.

Following the historic decision of the June European Council to open accession talks with Serbia and start negotiations on Stabilisation and Association Agreement with Kosovo, we looked at the next steps in the implementation.

It is of crucial importance that the work on implementation continues in the coming weeks and months, as foreseen with the Implementation Plan. I am pleased that both Prime Ministers confirmed their commitment to this goal.

The texts on Telecoms and Energy are almost finalized. Discussions on these texts will continue in the coming days while I will travel to Belgrade and Pristina."
