Catherine Ashton i to travel to Serbia and Kosovo

Catherine Ashton, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, will travel to Serbia and Kosovo next week

In Belgrade on Tuesday she will meet President Nikolic, Prime Minister Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister Vucic. They will discuss the implementation of the agreements reached in the dialogue on normalisation of relations as well as the progress of Serbia towards the EU

In Pristina on Wednesday, HRVP Ashton will meet President Jahjaga and Prime Minister Thaci. They will talk about the implementation of agreements from the EU-facilitated dialogue as well as the next steps towards European integration

"I am looking forward to continue my discussion with the leadership of Serbia and Kosovo in order to move forward with the dialogue and the implementation of the agreements reached so far. I will be delighted to visit Belgrade and Pristina following the historic decisions of the European Council to open accession talks with Serbia and start negotiations on Stabilisation and Association Agreement with Kosovo," said Catherine Ashton ahead of her visit

Just a day before the visits HRVP Ashton will hold a 13th round of the dialogue
