The European Parliament will be debating the issue of Hungary in its plenary session on Tuesday. Hungary has been facing heavy criticism for its record on freedom of speech, with other member states saying the government is breaching the EU’s common values. The Civil Liberties Committee issued its report on the situation on 19 June, calling on Hungary to roll back recent changes to its constitution.
