Russian foreign ministry spokesman Lukashevich has hit out at Latvia's ban, voted last week, on Soviet insignia. He said the "decision to equate symbols of a country that made a crucial contribution to the victory over Nazism, with symbols of the hateful Nazi regime evokes deep outrage," Ria Novosti reports.
