Duitse minister van Binnenlandse zaken roept op tot Europees registratiesysteem voor toeristen (en)

Germany's interior minister Hans-Peter Friedrich has called for the EU to introduce tourist entry applications similar to a the US programme Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). In an interview with Welt am Sonntag he said such a programme should be rolled out in the EU "as soon as possible."
