President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy congratulates Giorgio Napolitano on his second mandate as President of the Republic of Italy

"It is my pleasure to congratulate Giorgio Napolitano for his historic second election as President of the Republic of Italy. On behalf of the European Union and personally I wish him every success in his work and look forward to continue cooperating with him in these challenging times for Italy and the European Union
