Schulz: grondwetswijziging Hongarije geen officieel agendapunt Europese Raad (en)

On today's proposal by some political groups of the European i Parliament to add an additional point to the plenary agenda on Amendments to the Hungarian Constitution, Martin Schulz i made the following statement:

For principled reasons relating to the proper application of the Rules of Procedure I have decided not to propose that an additional point be added to the agenda of the current part-session.

I suggested to those political groups requesting the additional point to instead raise the issue during tomorrow's debate on the preparations for the European Council, this being the appropriate agenda item to voice concerns and shape the Parliament's message to the forthcoming European Council summit.
