EU Council chief Van Rompuy i told Estonia's parliament Tuesday their 2011 adoption of the euro gave him psychological comfort: "In the darkest hours of the crisis, I often said half-jokingly that as long as new countries chose to adopt the euro ... it proved the single currency was still 'sexy'."
