Sweden's foreign minister Carl Bildt told the AFP on Sunday that Turkey's bid to join the EU "requires efforts by both sides. It requires a continued reform process in Turkey, and it requires a continued open attitude by the European Union." Negotiations are locked over a territorial dispute with Cyprus.
