Dr. Marcoullis bezoekt de Republiek Macedonië (en)

Cyprus’ Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Marcoullis will visit the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on Monday, November 26, in her capacity as chair of the General Affairs Council of the EU, responsible for enlargement.

Dr. Marcoullis’ visit to the country is part of her round of visits to EU candidate countries and potential candidates.

“My visit to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia aims at highlighting the importance that the Cyprus Presidency attributes to EU’s enlargement, as a process which contributes to the promotion of peace, stability and security in our continent,” the Cypriot Minister said.

Dr. Marcoullis will have a meeting with her counterpart, the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Poposki, with whom she will discuss the country’s European perspective.

The Foreign Affairs Minister will also be received by the President of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Gjorgje Ivanov. She will also meet with the Deputy Prime-Minister in charge for European Affairs, Ms Teuta Arifi, who is also a member of the Albanian Democratic Union for Integration party (DUI) . Dr. Marcoullis will also meet the Head of the EU Delegation, Mr. Aivo Orav.
