Op de agenda van het EP: delegaties naar Rusland en Italië (en)

Met dank overgenomen van Europees Parlement (EP) i, gepubliceerd op maandag 29 oktober 2012.

This week has been set aside for MEPs to visit their constituencies and take part in delegations. However, a planned visit to Iran has been cancelled because the authorities there refused permission for the delegation to meet this year's Sakharov Prize winners, activist lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh and film director Jafar Panahi.

Members of the EP's trade committee will visit Russia in the wake of the country joining the World Trade Organization. Meanwhile the organised crime committee will go to Italy to meet anti-mafia prosecutors, NGOs and members of the national parliament and the women's rights committee will be in Tunisia to assess women's rights and gender equality following the Arab Spring.
