Merkel is to discuss Moldova's breakaway region of Transnistria when she travels to Chisinau on 22 August. "The talks will cover bilateral relations, the state of reform efforts in Moldova and the development of the region as well as progress in the Transnistria conflict," said her spokesperson, according to AFP.
