The OECD announced Monday that it expects Germany to post a record high €210bn trade surplus in 2012, including the first surplus since 1988 with China, the world’s largest exporter. Chancellor Merkel i risks a complaint from Brussels, worried over growing trade imbalances in Europe, reports Financial Times Deutschland.
