Studenten journalistiek treden in voetstappen van Franse journalist met reis door Balkan (en)
From 8 to 24 August 30 journalism students from France and the Western Balkans will team up on a reporting assignment that will take them from Osijek to Niš, via Tuzla, Sarajevo, Mostar, Nikšič, Skhodra and Skopje. The young journalists will follow the steps of the famous French reporter Albert Londres (1884-1932), who travelled extensively through the Balkans. Throughout their trip, they will post stories and videos on a web platform in order to share their experience as widely as possible, through partner universities and media organisations. Back in their home countries, participants will act as "ambassadors" and transfer their newly acquired experience to fellow students and citizens at the local level. Supported by the Council of Europe, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA), the European Commission Representation in France and numerous municipalities, the project aims to create a network of young journalists from the Western Balkans and France in order to boost intercultural dialogue and a culture of peace. Ultimately, the project also aims to help these young journalists jumpstart their careers through internships in partner media organisations.
