The Romanian Parliament Wednesday afternoon adopted a controversial governmental decree under which the constitutional court no longer has jurisdiction over internal parliamentary matters. This means that the recent sacking of Senate and lower chamber chairpersons can no longer be challenged in court, nor can the sacking of the ombudsman.
